Anne Arundel County Democratic Party calls on Chuck Yocum to end his campaign for the District 3 Board of Education Seat – and for County Republicans to end their silence

Anne Arundel County, Maryland - The Baltimore Banner’s investigation into Chuck Yocum has revealed serious and troubling allegations of child sexual abuse and misconduct.  The Anne Arundel County Democratic Party calls on him to withdraw from the race.

“Our Board of Education, our teachers, our students, and our parents here in Anne Arundel County deserve better than Chuck Yocum,” said Anne Arundel County Democratic Party Chair Dylan Behler. “These recent revelations by the Baltimore Banner build upon his pattern of atrocious behavior towards women, and he should withdraw from this race in order for the public to maintain trust in our Board of Education.”

Chuck Yocum’s candidacy to date has been backed by Republicans – State Delegate Nic Kipke donated $1000, State Delegate Brian Chisolm donated $250, County Councilman Nathan Volke donated $500, and District 3 School Board Member Corinne Frank Donated $500 to support his campaign.

In light of these revelations, the AACDCC calls on Anne Arundel County Republicans to reconsider their support of Chuck Yocum. In particular, elected officials such as Delegates Kipke and Chisholm, Councilman Volke, and Board of Education Member Frank, who have supported Yocum’s campaign, now have an opportunity to show the public that they do not condone this behavior.
